Girona has a lot of bars and restaurants. Many bars have seats and tables outside on the pavement. A good place for drinking or dining outside is Placa Independencia.

A cafe in the middle of Parc del Migdia (Girona's largest park). Large terrace, good for when the weather is warm and sunny because then you can sit outside, but also has plenty of indoor seating. Playground nearby for children.
 
The cafe does a buffet until 3 pm, it costs 18 euro for adults. It's one of the seven wonders of Girona. The food is mostly healthy, a lot of salads and vegetarian stuff. You feel like your longevity is getting longer as you eat. Include dessert too.
 
Kids can eat the buffet too for 9 euro, but because it's healthy food, they probably won't eat it. But also for 9 euro you can get a kids menu meal which is like chip and breaded chicken.
