Parks in Girona

La Devesa

Big park near the city centre. Most of the park is covered by over 2,500 plane trees (tall trees).[1] Many of the trees in La Devesa Park were planted in the 1850s, and some are as tall as 55 metres.

The park also has:

  • the Devesa municipal sports area (outdoor swimming pool, volleyball, tennis)
  • French-style La Devesa Gardens[2]
  • a dog park
  • a cafe called La Rosaleda
  • a calisthenics park

On Tuesdays and Thursdays there's a food and clothes market.[3]

A big park. Has:

  • a big grass area that's a nice place for a picnic or for kids to play
  • a cafe called el Cafe del Parc del Migdia
  • a lake (bring bread for the ducks)
  • two playgrounds
