Emergency Medical Help in Girona

🚨 Life-Threatening Emergency

If you have a life-threatening emergency, **call 112** (the European emergency number). You may be connected to a doctor for a phone consult, or an ambulance will be sent. Tip: Be ready to clearly give your address, including flat or house number.

🏥 Emergency Rooms (Public Hospitals)

If you can make your own way to a hospital, these are the main public emergency centers:

  • Hospital Josep Trueta (main ER in Girona)

Avinguda de França 📞 972 94 02 00

  • Hospital Santa Caterina

C/ del Dr. Castany, Salt 📞 972 18 26 00

  • CAP Güell (for urgent but non-hospital care)

These centers will treat you without requiring immediate payment. If you are not in the public health system, you’ll receive a bill you can send to your insurance provider. Note: EU citizens with an EHIC card are covered for public care.
