Girona Wednesday Worlds is an international group that organizes fast bunch rides every Wednesday (hence the name) at 6 PM, starting from Correos next to Plaça Independència. Check their Instagram stories each week for the ride route and departure time.
Started by Jake Warman in 2023, it's Girona's hardest group ride, mostly attended by pros, ex-pros, or want-to-be pros. After a 10Km rollout, it becomes a chain gang at ~35-40km/h. Mostly a "drop ride" with a few regroups on top of climbs.
To get a sense of the vibes, watch Tristan Cardew's video or Harry Mac's reel.

Knuckleheads (a.k.a. Caps de Suro) is an informal cycling group in Girona. They have a WhatsApp group, but you need to be added by an existing member. They do mostly road cycling and some gravel rides.
The group was founded by expat cyclists (such as Brian Jones from the USA) who wanted company on Girona’s roads. Because of this, the group has an international feel, though Catalan and Spanish riders are also welcome to take part.
Anyone in the group is encouraged to post rides. Knuckleheads' regular rides are on Wednesdays and Sundays from Correos next Plaça Independència at 9:30 AM (time may vary, double check in the WhatsApp group the day before).
The WhatsApp profile picture is of the main organiser, Brian, giving the finger to the camera, which maybe gives you an idea of the vibe of the group :D
The group was the subject of an article in Nafent magazine,[1] where it was called "the biggest informal cycling club in Girona".
They tend to meet on Thursdays for drinks. One of the bars they sometimes meet at is Ànima.

Girona Gravel Girls (GGG) is a female-only cycling group focused on gravel riding in and around Girona. The group organizes a monthly ride, usually on the second Sunday of the month, starting from Pont de Pedra. Afterwards, they go for coffee or wine.[2] The atmosphere is supportive and non-competitive, and riders of all levels are welcome.[2][3]
The history of how Girona Gravel Girls started is unclear. One source says it began as a WhatsApp group in 2018, when founder Anna Gibert started inviting other women to join her on gravel rides.[2] Another source says it was set up by three local riders who were looking for a female biking group. When they saw none existed, they decided to create Girona Gravel Girls.[4]
In September 2025, a spin-off group called the Graveletes went on their first ride together.[5] The Graveletes is like Girona Gravel Girls but more for beginners.
To join Girona Gravel Girls, you simply need a gravel bike.[2]

Eat Sleep Cycle B-Sides is a cycling group named after the Eat Sleep Cycle cafe in Girona, which sponsors the rides and is also the meeting point for the rides. They meet every Sunday at 9:50 AM, then start cycling at 10 AM. The rides are non-drop, which means no one gets left behind.
The group was started in November 2025 by American Dan Baker.[6] "B-Sides" refers to Dan's idea that the B-side of albums contains the best music, implying that the group will become the best cycling group in Girona.

BCG Minardis is a cycling club in Girona.[7] The group has 40+ active members who ride road, gravel, and MTB, often meeting daily to train, explore, and enjoy time together, usually finishing with a coffee or beer.[7] The club is based at Tàndem Café (Carrer de Pau Vila i Dinarès, 6, 17003 Girona) near Parc Migdia.[7] Rides are flexible and happen at different times to suit different schedules, with some members heading out early in the morning and others riding later in the day.[7] The atmosphere is welcoming and international, but the riding level can be challenging. The group enjoys training hard and pushing each other, while still keeping the social side of cycling alive.[7] As one member summarised: “We ride to enjoy, but we ride to train too.”[7] Most rides start in Girona, and the group is open to everyone — locals, newcomers, and visitors.[7]
